Over recent months, St Mark's has been exploring ways to provide practical assistance to members of our local community who are experiencing homelessness during the colder winter months.

After much prayer and careful consideration, they will be trialling a small winter shelter and outreach program this year.

The program will begin with a free community sausage sizzle in Buderim Village Park on:

• Wednesday 24 June
• Wednesday 1 July 
from 4:45pm to 6:30pm.

From Wednesday 8 July through to Wednesday 26 August, St Mark's will also open its facilities each Wednesday evening from 7:00pm to 9:00pm, offering access to:

• Shelter under the church verandahs
• Kitchen facilities for tea, coffee and hot water
• Toilet facilities

St Mark's is currently seeking volunteers who may be willing to assist in various ways throughout the trial period.
